In the world of ballroom dancing, women simply have it better than men. Just look at the fashion options available to the two genders. On the fashion front, men are practically interchangeable. They are all wearing the same suit or tux and polished lace up shoes. And by contrast, take a look at the women. They are wearing fantastically colored and ornate costumes, all of which are distinct, flashy, and fun.
The difference is also particularly apparent in women’s ballroom dance shoes. The selection of women’s shoes is almost unlimited, and each style is entirely unique and different from the others. The heel height differs, the fabrics differ, and the structure of the shoe itself is even different. If, for example, you’re looking for a t-strap four inch stiletto heel in red satin with an open toe, you could very likely find that exact shoe. Men, on the other hand, are stuck with their loafers.
