The shape of the standard woman’s shoe is not designed to be comfortable for the foot, especially high heeled shoes.
Men’s shoes on the other hand are shaped to fit men’s feet pretty good. But ballroom dance shoes are designed for comfort from the tip of the toes to the bottom of the heel. Ballroom dance shoes are designed for comfort, period. Men’s ballroom dance shoes and the women’s ballroom dance shoes are pacifically and expertly designed for standing and moving in them for long periods of time.
The shoe fits on your feet to allow you the freedom of moving around the dance floor and turning and kicking and all the other fun stuff you do while ballroom dancing.
