Ballroom dance is a great place to meet people and acquire new friends. If you take lessons somewhere, you will meet the other students and become friends with them. If you take group classes, then you meet a lot more people, but you probably will not get any more friends than what you get with individual lessons. The friends you make will be the company you keep at the local ballroom dances. You will keep each other informed of the dancing events around the area. You will discuss what you will wear to all the different dances. You will talk and discuss the best and most comfortable ballroom dance shoes to wear and trade information on the best places to buy your shoes.
