Other ways to learn ballroom dance moves
include videos, books, and the Internet. While these formats can’t take the place of an instructor who can give you valuable feedback and help you move to the beat, they can teach you the basics. You can watch videos and see how the steps look as well as listen to narrators giving you instructions.
Once you’ve found the ballroom dance classes and have begun to learn, practice is critical. Ballroom dancing isn’t something you’ll immediately excel at. You must practice the steps until they become second nature. At first, you’ll be stiff and look as if you are counting the beats and muttering “ONE two three” under your breath. With practice, you’ll soon be gliding across the dance floor in a great ballroom dress and red tango ballroom dance shoes, looking like a dance queen.
